    After advent of computer and internet, it is likely to access information resources from everywhere at any time. Internet is used as an efficient medium for selecting, retrieving, storing of information sources worldwide. It provides various information resources such as e-books, e-journals, e-magazines, e-thesis/dissertations, dictionaries, directories, databases, search engines, and professional bodies. 

        There are three types of online resources available based on the mode of access through internet such as open access (free), semi open access (some of them free), and closed access (payable) in all disciplines. This website provides the open access online information resources and services especially in engineering and technology.

        “Ten years of experience lead us to reaffirm the definition of open access introduced in the original Budapest Open Access Initiative: By “open access” to [peer-reviewed research literature], we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.”

         The organizations like publishers, academic institutions, and professional bodies have exposed updating and uses of their sources like products, publications, programs such as details of conducting conferences, seminars, workshop etc and providing services for professionals associated with their discipline in research and development.
